ALWAYS friendly at the counter and also they will answer the telephone! Out of 9 Post offices that I had to call to resolve a lost package issue (yes I am signed up for text message updates) Nokomis did their best in helping me find my package as did the Allison USPS. Where other post offices left me hanging with NO ONE to answer the telephone these two did not. I fear that USPS is understaffed due to cutbacks. P.S. In Forty years I have not had an issue finding a lost package through USPS, Cudos USPS!

The 2 men who have been working the 4 times I've stopped here are not friendly. No eye contact, no smile, no banter, etc. With the lack of good paying jobs, you'd think they would be overcome with joy to have one. Once I came in snd the guy was playing music full bladt. I told I'd have loved yo have had a job like his. He just grunted.
I live in the main land of Venice right on top of North Port. I drive up 41 or 75 out of my way to go this post office. Why you ask? Because of CUSTOMER SERVICE. These people are great. Down here in Venice the post office people are rude and very unwilling to help! Up here in Nokomis the people are GREAT!
Venice P.O. (lack of education) should be torn down and made a park. Just make sure the staff does not go anywhere near Laurel P.O.
